Green Bay Packers tight end Brandon Bostick says he's doing his best to move on from the key role he played in his team's stunning collapse in Sunday's NFC championship.
Bostick failed to secure an onside kick attempt late in the fourth quarter, giving the Seattle Seahawks the chance to take the lead for the first time in the game. The Seahawks went on to win in overtime.
"I'm human. I made a mistake," Bostick told Weston Hodkiewicz of the Press-Gazette. "But if I would've made the play, we wouldn't have been in this (situation) or if I would've made the block, we wouldn't be talking about this. But it's over now, so I'll just try my best to get over it."
Bostick was showered with vitriolic messages on Twitter in the moments after his failed play. He told reporters the support of his teammates has helped him move on.
"It definitely means a lot," Bostick added. "I'm at a low point right now. The whole world is on my back about this thing, but my teammates are here to pick me up. They know it's just a mistake, and they've been on my side."
