Chicago Bears linebacker Lance Briggs could be a game-time decision Thursday against the Detroit Lions, according to head coach Marc Trestman.
Briggs left Sunday's win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a groin injury and was unable to return.
If Briggs is unable to play, rookie Christian Jones will likely need to step into his role on the Bears' banged up defense.
