New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore confirmed Sunday that defensive tackle Bryan Bresee sustained a torn ACL and will undergo surgery, according to ESPN's Katherine Terrell.

Bresee was feared to have suffered a serious knee injury Wednesday during training camp, but was slated for further testing to confirm the diagnosis.

A former first-round pick in 2023, Bresee was a key starter on the Saints' defensive line. After recording 4.5 sacks as a rookie, Bresee has notched 10 sacks across 26 starts over the last two years.

The 24-year-old's best season came in 2024 when he registered 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and 14 quarterback hits.
