Tebow: 'I'm the best I've ever been'; still hoping for NFL return

Although former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow recently traded in wobbly passes and touchdown poses for makeup and microphones with his new gig as an analyst for the SEC Network, the desire to chuck pigskin at the highest level still burns within him.

"I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been," Tebow told The Tennessean. "I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though."

The 26-year-old lefty last appeared in a regular season NFL game in 2012 as a member of the New York Jets, completing six passes for 39 yards while being sacked twice (he also lined up as a fullback and tight end).

Tebow's final kick-at-the-can in the NFL came with the New England Patriots prior to the 2013 campaign, when he was signed and subsequently cut after under-performing in three preseason games.
