The Atlanta Falcons have re-signed offensive lineman Mike Johnson to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday. Johnson missed all of the 2013 season after fracturing his fibula and suffering a dislocated ankle during training camp.

Johnson was expected to start at right tackle for the Falcons prior to the injury. He should have a good chance to earn the starting job next season after the likes of Jeremy Trueblood and Ryan Schraeder struggled for Atlanta at right tackle while Johnson was hurt.

In 2012, Johnson appeared in 16 games with one start and even caught a one-yard touchdown pass in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints.
