The Indianapolis Colts are looking for a big return if they're going to trade star running back Jonathan Taylor.

It's likely a deal would get done if the Colts receive a first-round pick or a similar package that the Carolina Panthers received for running back Christian McCaffrey in 2023, Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reports. McCaffrey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers in 2022 for second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-round picks.

The New York Giants, Denver Broncos, and Minnesota Vikings have checked in about Taylor, with the Giants considered a serious suitor who have yet to meet the Colts' asking price, Breer adds.

It was previously reported that the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks were also among teams interested in Taylor.

Indianapolis is open to trading Taylor as the team ships off assets in the wake of general manager Chris Ballard being fired. The 2-6 Colts have already moved offensive lineman Quenton Nelson and defensive lineman DeForest Buckner.

Taylor is regarded as the top player that could be available ahead of the league's trade deadline on Nov. 10. The three-time Pro Bowler has rushed for 610 yards and eight touchdowns through eight games this season.
