The Kansas City Chiefs are signing veteran kicker Justin Tucker to their practice squad, a source told Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star.

Tucker last played in the NFL in 2024. The Baltimore Ravens released him in June 2025 after he faced allegations of inappropriate sexual behavior toward massage therapists. The league suspended him for the first 10 games of the 2025 season for violating its personal conduct policy, but he ended up not signing with a team that year.

The addition of Tucker comes as Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker struggles. Butker went 1-for-3 on field-goal attempts in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, and he's 4-for-7 over the team's last two games. He's made 68.8% of his field-goal attempts this season (11/16), which would stand as a career-worst conversion rate.

A seven-time Pro Bowler, Tucker has been successful on 89.1% of his field-goal tries over his career. However, in his most recent season in 2024, Tucker converted a career-low 73.3% of his field goals.

The Chiefs (5-1) take on the Denver Broncos (5-2) in a pivotal AFC West battle Sunday.
