Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane won't return to Sunday's Week 3 contest against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a knee injury.
Achane suffered the ailment after an awkward tackle in the first quarter. Miami listed the running back as questionable to return before downgrading him to out in the third quarter.

The 24-year-old recorded three carries for 17 yards before leaving the game. Ollie Gordon took over as Miami's primary rusher with fellow running back Jaylen Wright inactive due to a foot injury.
Achane posted 31 carries for 110 yards over the first two games while adding seven receptions for 49 yards. He signed a four-year, $64-million contract extension with the Dolphins this offseason, making him one of the league's highest-paid running backs.
