Sheppard had 24 carries for 147 yards and one touchdown and caught 5 of 6 targets for 41 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 31-27 victory over Illinois.
Analysis:Sheppard continued to dominate carries in Duke's backfield, and continued to make the most of them against a highly questionable Illinois defense. The second-year tailback notched three more touchdowns in Week 2 and has already hit paydirt five times in two weeks. Sheppard remains one of the top backs in the country, and Duke is using him accordingly.
