Falcons trade Orhorhoro to Jaguars for Maason Smith
The Atlanta Falcons traded defensive tackle Ruke Orhorhoro to the Jacksonville Jaguars for defensive lineman Maason Smith, the teams announced Friday.
The 24-year-old Orhorhoro saw an uptick in playing time last season after appearing in eight games the year prior. In 2025, he recorded four tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks in 17 contests, including eight starts.
The Clemson product will join a Jaguars defensive line that's headlined by Arik Armstead and DaVon Hamilton at defensive tackle.
Smith, meanwhile, will now get a fresh start in Atlanta. The LSU product started seven games over the last two seasons and posted three tackles for loss and three sacks during that span. He may be a candidate to start at nose tackle for the Falcons under defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.
