Falcons reveal new uniforms highlighted by red home jersey
The Atlanta Falcons unveiled their new uniforms Thursday.
Atlanta is adopting a new, simple red home jersey that includes a new number and nameplate font, as well as a sleeve logo. The stripes on the white pants were inspired by the franchise's inaugural 1966 uniforms.
The Falcons' new look will display "Falcons" on the chest for the team's home jerseys and "Atlanta" for away uniforms. "Dirty Birds" will be inscribed inside the collar.
"Red has always meant something different in Atlanta," Falcons president of football and franchise legend Matt Ryan said, according to The Athletic's Josh Kendall. "It's when our best football has been played, where this city has shown its heart, and when I experienced the greatest moments of my career."
The Falcons' updated look comes six years after they made major changes to their uniforms, including the introduction of an extinct gradient alternate jersey.
