The Denver Broncos selected Buffalo linebacker Red Murdock with the 257th overall pick to conclude the 2026 NFL Draft, making him this year's "Mr. Irrelevant."

The Broncos owned the final two picks of the draft and took Utah tight end Dallen Bentley with the penultimate selection.

Murdock recorded 142 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and five sacks in his final collegiate season with Buffalo. Over his final two years, he tallied 298 tackles, 30 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

The Buffalo product also owns the NCAA record of 17 career forced fumbles.

It's the fourth draft in a row where a defensive player has been the final pick. An offensive player hasn't been "Mr. Irrelevant" since Brock Purdy in 2022.

The Broncos made seven selections in the draft, including Murdock. Their first pick was defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim in the third round.
