The Carolina Panthers are trading veteran quarterback Andy Dalton to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for a 2027 seventh-round pick, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dalton, who spent the past three seasons in Carolina, started one game for the team last year. The Panthers recently signed Kenny Pickett to serve as Bryce Young's backup.

The 38-year-old Dalton has 169 NFL starts under his belt. The Eagles will be the former second-round pick's sixth team after stops with the Cincinnati Bengals (2011-19), Dallas Cowboys (2020), Chicago Bears (2021), New Orleans Saints (2022), and Panthers (2023-25).

He joins a Philadelphia quarterback room featuring starter Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee, who'd seemingly locked down the QB2 spot. McKee started the Eagles' past two regular-season finales.

Hurts has missed one game due to injury in the past three campaigns. Pickett made one start in his stead for the Eagles in December 2024.
