Commanders to give Oweh 4-year, $100M deal
The Washington Commanders are signing pass-rusher Odafe Oweh to a four-year, $100-million contract, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Oweh's deal also includes $68 million guaranteed.
The 27-year-old edge rusher will join his third team in less than a year. He began the 2025 campaign with the Baltimore Ravens before they traded him to the Los Angeles Chargers in October.
Oweh recorded eight tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks in 12 games with the Chargers last season. He racked up three sacks and two forced fumbles in L.A.'s. wild-card loss to the New England Patriots.
The Penn State alum spent nearly five seasons with the Ravens. Oweh racked up 26 tackles for loss and 23.5 sacks during his tenure in Baltimore.
Washington decided to spend big to address its need at pass-rusher and landed one of the more athletic options on the free-agent market. Oweh is expected to be a fixture in the Commanders' defensive line rotation and joins an imposing front that projects to include Daron Payne and Deatrich Wise Jr.
