The Washington Commanders informed veteran cornerback Marshon Lattimore that he will be released, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Lattimore's release will reportedly save the club $18.5 million in cap space.

The Commanders acquired the four-time Pro Bowler from the New Orleans Saints in November 2024. However, he's battled injuries and has played just 11 regular-season games for Washington since the trade. A torn ACL ended his 2025 campaign after nine games.

The 29-year-old hasn't played more than 10 games in a season since 2021, which was also his last Pro Bowl campaign.

A first-round pick in the 2017 draft, Lattimore has 16 career interceptions and 98 passes defended.
