The Carolina Panthers have gotten trade calls about veteran quarterback Andy Dalton, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dalton has spent the last three seasons as Bryce Young's backup in Carolina. He's made seven starts in that span, compiling a 1-6 record with 10 touchdowns to seven interceptions.

The 38-year-old lost 40-9 to the Buffalo Bills in his lone start last year, completing 16 of 24 passes for 175 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception.

Dalton, a three-time Pro Bowler, has started 169 career games. Drafted in the second round in 2011, he spent nine seasons as the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, posting a 70-61-2 record with 204 touchdowns to 118 interceptions. Dalton also suited up for the Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and New Orleans Saints before settling with the Panthers.
