Report: Cardinals hire Hackett as OC
New Arizona Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur has made his first key hire, adding Nathaniel Hackett as his offensive coordinator, sources told NFL Network's "The Insiders."
Hackett was reported to be joining the Miami Dolphins as quarterbacks coach last week.
This marks Hackett's first offensive coordinator stint since his two-year spell with the New York Jets from 2023-24. The Jets brought him in to succeed LaFleur, who was fired after the offense struggled. During Hackett's tenure, the unit never ranked better than 24th in scoring.
The 46-year-old Hackett previously spent three seasons as the offensive coordinator under LaFleur's brother, Matt, in Green Bay from 2019-21. He enjoyed much success with the Packers as quarterback Aaron Rodgers won MVP in two of his three seasons.
Hackett spent the 2025 campaign as a defensive analyst for the Packers.
