Bowles says he'll return to Bucs for 2026 season
Todd Bowles is staying put.
The 62-year-old head coach said Wednesday that he'll be back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2026 season, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Bowles met Tuesday with the Glazer family, which owns the franchise.
Bowles is signed through the 2028 season, but his future as Tampa Bay's sideline boss became uncertain after the Buccaneers missed the playoffs. The Bucs started the campaign on a 5-1 run before losing eight of their last 11 games. They defeated the Carolina Panthers in their regular-season finale, but it wasn't enough to reach the postseason.
Tampa Bay will make changes to its coaching staff for 2026, Bowles confirmed. He said he's scheduled interviews with his assistants for Wednesday.
The Bucs have posted a 35-33 record since hiring Bowles in 2022. They clinched three NFC South titles but have just one playoff win under his watch.
