Lamar doubtful for must-win game vs. Packers
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is doubtful for Saturday's must-win game against the Green Bay Packers because of a back injury.
Tyler Huntley figures to start for the Ravens barring a turnaround in Jackson's status.
Baltimore needs to win its final two games and Pittsburgh to lose its last two in order to reach the postseason. The Ravens and Steelers will meet in Week 18.
Jackson missed every practice this week after sustaining a back contusion Sunday in the Ravens' 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots. He appeared to have gotten kneed in his left side by safety Craig Woodson at the end of a three-yard run.
On Tuesday, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh described Jackson's status as day-to-day, noting that the QB's symptoms have been "significant" and "painful," according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.
Injuries have kept the two-time MVP sidelined for various stretches of the 2025 campaign. He missed three games in October due to a hamstring injury and has sat out at least one practice each of the last five weeks with knee, ankle, and toe injuries.
Jackson hasn't played up to his usual elite form this season. His 192.6 passing yards per contest rank in the bottom third of the league, and his 28.3 rushing yards per game are on pace to be the lowest mark of his eight-year career.
The Packers, meanwhile, listed their top two quarterbacks, Jordan Love (concussion) and Malik Willis (shoulder), as questionable. Green Bay has also yet to clinch a playoff spot.
