The Kansas City Chiefs are trading star cornerback Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Los Angeles is sending the 29th overall pick and its fifth- and sixth-round selections in the 2026 NFL Draft, plus a third-round pick in the 2027 draft, to Kansas City in exchange for McDuffie.

McDuffie is expected to receive a new contract once the trade is finalized, per Rapoport. He was in line to earn $13.6 million in 2026 after the Chiefs picked up the fifth-year option in his rookie contract.

The 25-year-old leads all cornerbacks with 34 QB pressures and eight forced fumbles since entering the league in 2022, per Next Gen Stats. He also tallied three interceptions and 34 defended passes over four seasons with Kansas City.

The acquisition of McDuffie adds an All-Pro talent to Los Angeles' defensive secondary. He'll headline a defensive back unit that features Quentin Lake and Darious Williams. The Washington product is also set to reunite with his college head coach, Jimmy Lake, who's currently a senior defensive assistant for the Rams.

Kansas City now owns the No. 9 and No. 29 picks in April's draft, while L.A. still holds the 13th overall selection.
