Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is dealing with a "significant contusion" to his back and is considered day-to-day, head coach John Harbaugh announced Monday, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.

"It doesn't look like it's more than that," Harbaugh told reporters, including ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "He's in there getting treatment now."

Jackson was unable to finish Sunday's 28-24 loss to the New England Patriots due to the injury. Tyler Huntley took over after Jackson exited in the second quarter.

Jackson said postgame that his goal is to play in next Saturday's bout against the Green Bay Packers.

The 7-8 Ravens are clinging to their slim playoff hopes. A loss to the Packers would eliminate Baltimore from postseason contention. Even with a victory over Green Bay, the Ravens still require the Pittsburgh Steelers to lose next week's game against the Cleveland Browns to stay alive.

A two-time NFL MVP, Jackson is in the midst of an injury-plagued campaign after missing three games earlier this season with a hamstring issue. He's compiled a 6-6 record with 18 passing touchdowns to six interceptions. With 340 yards on the ground, he's on pace for the fewest rushing yards of his career by a significant margin.
