Bills' Oliver out indefinitely with torn bicep
Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver will be out indefinitely after undergoing surgery for a torn bicep, head coach Sean McDermott announced Monday, according to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic.
There is a chance Oliver is back for the playoffs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Oliver suffered the injury in Sunday's 40-9 win over the Carolina Panthers and was unable to finish the game.
The 27-year-old also missed time earlier this season with an ankle issue. However, Oliver has been a force when on the field. He's produced three sacks, seven tackles for loss, and one forced fumble in three games played this year.
The injury bug has feasted on the Bills at defensive tackle. In addition to Oliver, DaQuan Jones has missed the last two weeks with a calf injury and T.J. Sanders is on injured reserve with a knee injury.
The Bills are 5-2 and their defense ranks ninth in points allowed (20.9 points per game).
