Injuries remain a major issue for the San Francisco 49ers.

San Francisco won't have quarterback Brock Purdy available for Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Rams due to a toe injury, the team announced Wednesday.

Mac Jones will presumably start at QB as the 3-1 Niners try to return to the win column after suffering their first loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jones replaced an injured Purdy in two games this year, passing for four touchdowns against one interception while leading San Francisco to wins in both outings.

Wide receivers Ricky Pearsall (knee) and Jauan Jennings (ankle/ribs) were also ruled out Wednesday. The team is already missing tight end George Kittle, who was placed on injured reserve after Week 1 with a hamstring issue, and defensive end Nick Bosa, who's out for the season with a torn ACL.

With Pearsall and Jennings sidelined, the 49ers are expected to rely on several veteran wideouts against the Rams, including Demarcus Robinson, Kendrick Bourne, and Skyy Moore.

Running back and 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey and tight end Jake Tonges are also likely to be heavily involved in San Francisco's game plan Thursday.
