Report: Vikings interested in trading for Panthers' Thielen
The Minnesota Vikings have inquired about trading for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Thielen spent the first 10 seasons of his NFL career with the Vikings after being signed as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He got his first taste of meaningful NFL action in 2014 and eventually emerged as a key piece of Minnesota's offense, earning Pro Bowl selections in 2018 and 2019.
A reunion with the now 35-year-old wideout would boost a Vikings receiving corps that will be without Jordan Addison for the first three games of the season due to a suspension.
Thielen has spent the last two campaigns with the Panthers. He reached 1,014 receiving yards in 2023 before his numbers plummeted to 615 yards across 10 games last year.
