Lamb: Pickens and I are both WR1 for Cowboys
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb believes that he and George Pickens are both WR1s, and that there's no hierarchy between the two.
"Oh no, we both ones," Lamb said at Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray's charity softball game Saturday, per DLLS Sports.
Lamb added: "It ain't no A, B, none of that. It's one. You look over there, you see one. You look over here, you see another one."
This'll be the first season since 2021 that Lamb will truly be splitting targets. He has topped 1,000 receiving yards every year since his sophomore season in 2021, notching 35 touchdowns in the process.
Pickens was traded to the Cowboys from the Pittsburgh Steelers on May 7, in exchange for a 2026 third-round and a 2027 fifth-round selection in the NFL draft. The 24-year-old is entering the last year of his rookie contract.
Pickens has totaled 2,841 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns in his three seasons with the Steelers. The second-round pick was inactive for three games in 2024 due to a hamstring injury.
The duo will open the NFL season against the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Sept. 4.
