49ers' McCaffrey: '0 restrictions' for offseason work
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey enters the team's offseason program with "zero restrictions," he told reporters Tuesday, including ESPN's Nick Wagoner.
McCaffrey added that he's "feeling great."
McCaffrey's 2024 season was complicated by injury issues. He suited up for only four games after battling bilateral Achilles tendinitis delayed the start to his year, while a PCL knee injury ended his campaign prematurely.
The three-time Pro Bowler noted that it was his goal to not miss any of the team's offseason program. The 49ers opened their voluntary offseason program Tuesday.
San Francisco's offense has been considerably more potent with a healthy McCaffrey in the lineup. He led the NFL in rushing yards (1,459) and yards from scrimmage (2,023) in 2023 as he was named Offensive Player of the Year.
Quarterback Brock Purdy was also reportedly in attendance Tuesday, while tight end George Kittle wasn't present. Purdy and Kittle are both entering the final year of their deals.
