Report: Cowboys, Fowler reunite on 1-year deal worth up to $8M
The Dallas Cowboys are reuniting with Dante Fowler Jr.
Dallas agreed to sign the veteran pass-rusher to a one-year contract worth up to $8 million, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Fowler - who had 10.5 sacks with the Washington Commanders in 2024 - previously played for the Cowboys from 2022-23. He collected 10 sacks during his Dallas stint.
The 30-year-old was one of the top free-agent pass-rushers available Friday after registering double-digit sacks for the first time since 2019 last year. Fowler has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2015-18), Los Angeles Rams (2018-19), and Atlanta Falcons (2020-21). The former third overall pick has amassed 55.5 career sacks.
Fowler adds depth and experience to a Cowboys front four led by Micah Parsons, the team's only player with more than six sacks last year. Dallas also rosters pass-rushers Sam Williams, Marshawn Kneeland, and Payton Turner, another former first-round pick who signed with the team this week.
