New Baltimore Ravens wideout DeAndre Hopkins once asked how many touchdowns he, Lamar Jackson, and Derrick Henry would score together. He didn't think that scenario would actually happen.
"I honestly did not think that was a possibility," Hopkins said during his introductory press conference Friday, according to team reporter Ryan Mink.
"Hopefully enough to win a lot of games," he said when asked how many TDs the trio would score next season. "To win the games we need to win. I don't have a number, but hopefully more than a little bit."
Hopkins' February 2020 social media post went viral after he signed a one-year, $5-million deal with Baltimore.
The three-time first-team All-Pro wideout is eager to team up with Jackson for the first time. Hopkins has admired Jackson dating back to college when he nearly led Louisville to a win over Clemson in 2016.
"Lamar being the leader of this team is part of the reason that I came here, what he stands for and how he's led this team and led this organization to the playoffs in multiple years," the Tigers alum said.
Hopkins played with Henry on the Tennessee Titans in 2023. They've also trained together in prior offseasons.
Henry and Jackson enjoyed a successful first season together in 2024, helping the club to a 12-5 record. Henry finished the season tied for the NFL lead with 16 rushing scores to go along with 1,921 yards. Jackson threw for 41 TDs while adding four rushing scores last season.
Hopkins, 32, provides a veteran option to a receiving corps that'll be headlined by Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. The five-time Pro Bowler's production dipped last season after he caught 75 passes for 1,057 yards in 2023.
