The Los Angeles Rams are planning to activate tight end Tyler Higbee off injured reserve next week before their matchup against the New York Jets, head coach Sean McVay said Friday, according to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.
Higbee has missed the entire 2024 season so far after tearing his ACL and MCL in the team's playoff loss to the Detroit Lions.
His return would come at a good time for a streaking Rams squad that's won three in a row and four of its last five. L.A. sits at 8-6, only trailing the 8-5 Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, who play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
Higbee has reeled off five consecutive seasons of over 400 receiving yards. He registered 47 catches for 495 yards and two touchdowns last season.
