The New York Giants announced running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. cleared the concussion protocol, putting him in line to play Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
Tracy entered the protocol after sustaining a concussion in Monday's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The 24-year-old was having a big performance against the Steelers, rushing for 145 yards and a touchdown.
The fifth-round rookie has been one of the few bright spots in a disappointing season for the Giants. He leads the team with 376 rushing yards and is averaging over 5 yards per carry.
New York will be without kicker Greg Joseph due to an oblique injury. Rookie kicker Jude McAtamney is expected to fill in.
The 2-6 Giants enter Week 9 on a three-game losing streak.
