Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon announced Friday that tight end Trey McBride will miss Sunday's game against the Washington Commanders due to a concussion, according to team reporter Darren Urban.

McBride entered the concussion protocol following last Sunday's loss to the Detroit Lions. He was involved in a helmet-to-helmet collision with Lions defensive back Brian Branch.

The 24-year-old leads the Cardinals in receptions (14), and his 122 receiving yards only trail rookie wideout Marvin Harrison Jr.'s 198.

Behind McBride on the depth chart is Elijah Higgins, who has caught four passes for 41 yards and a touchdown.
