The Philadelphia Eagles are releasing safety Kevin Byard, the team announced Friday.
Philadelphia acquired Byard from the Tennessee Titans in October 2023 in exchange for 2024 fifth- and sixth-round picks plus Terrell Edmunds.
Byard suited up in 10 games for the Eagles in 2023, recording one interception and 75 tackles.
The move gives the Eagles just over $13 million in cap savings, according to Over The Cap.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Byard has 28 interceptions over his career, including a league-high eight in 2017.
