Lamb: I'm not distracted by potential contract extension
Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb isn't paying any attention to the lingering buzz around a possible contract extension.
"I'll be 100% honest, I'm not even distracted," Lamb said, according to team reporter Nick Harris. "The money, definitely worried about it, but it's not something that's on my mind every day, or when I come to the building. I'm not thinking about how much money I'm gonna make if I do this. It's really all about coming in, showing my worth, and letting everything else handle itself."
Lamb, who had his fifth-year option for 2024 picked up this offseason, is eligible for a contract extension after completing his third year in the NFL. However, he's leaving any talk of a deal to his representation.
"That's for my agent," Lamb added. "I'm trying to play. That's what I'm here to do, and that's what I love to do."
The former 2020 first-round pick isn't the only contract issue coming up on the horizon for the Cowboys. Star cornerback Trevon Diggs is also free to sign an extension, while linebacker Micah Parsons will be eligible for a new deal in 2024.
Lamb has led Dallas in receiving yards in each of the last two seasons. He put together his best year as a pro in 2022 with a career-high 107 receptions, 1,359 yards, and nine touchdowns. The Oklahoma product has also yet to record less than 900 yards in a campaign.
