All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner is reuniting with the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year contract worth $7 million, sources told Jordan Schultz, theScore's NFL insider.

The Seahawks announced the signing later Saturday. Wagner also said he's "glad to be back in Seattle" on Twitter following the announcement of his return.

Wagner, 32, returns to Seattle after spending the 2022 season with the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. The 2012 second-round pick tallied 1,383 tackles, 68 tackles for loss, 11 interceptions, and six forced fumbles during the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seahawks.

The Utah State product was released by the Rams following a productive year in which he led the team with 140 tackles to go along with 10 TFLs, six sacks, and two interceptions. He was named a second-team All-Pro.

The L.A. native fills a void in the middle of Seattle's defense after the club chose not to tender restricted free agent Tanner Muse and lost Cody Barton to free agency. Wagner is projected to team up with Jordyn Brooks at inside linebacker ahead of the 2023 season.

Wagner earned eight consecutive Pro Bowl nods with Seattle from 2014-21. With pass-rusher Bruce Irvin being a free agent, Wagner is the only member of the Seahawks' Super Bowl XLVIII-winning roster still with the franchise.

The veteran defender's return to Seattle should help a defensive unit that surrendered 150.2 rushing yards per contest (30th in NFL) and 23.6 points per game last season.
