Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons said Wednesday that wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. told him he could be ready to play in five weeks, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.

Beckham is the league's top available free agent but hasn't played since tearing his ACL while playing for the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. The 30-year-old has generated interest from multiple teams, including the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and Cowboys, who've all hosted him for visits.

Parsons and teammate Trevon Diggs also attended a Dallas Mavericks game with Beckham on Monday.

"Obviously, he knows we want him, but really just wanted to make him feel at home," Parsons said Wednesday. "There's only so much you can say. ... I'm pretty sure he knows what we got here."

Following a physical with Beckham, the Cowboys are reportedly concerned that the star receiver won't be able to play before mid-January. Some inside the organization apparently fear Beckham won't return until next season. The wild-card round of the playoffs takes place Jan. 14-16, while the divisional round starts Jan. 21.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Wednesday that the team is "still working on" signing the three-time Pro Bowler, according to Machota.

The 9-3 Cowboys have won three straight. They sit second in the NFC East behind the 11-1 Philadelphia Eagles.
