Report: Chase expected to return for bout vs. Chiefs
Cincinnati Bengals star receiver Ja'Marr Chase is expected to return for the team's upcoming game against the Kansas City Chiefs, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Chase has missed the last four games due to a hip injury he suffered in Week 7. The Bengals were optimistic about him returning last week before they made him inactive for Sunday's win over the Tennessee Titans.
The former top-five pick in 2021 has recorded 47 receptions for 605 yards this year. His six receiving touchdowns still lead the team despite his injury absence.
Meanwhile, running back Joe Mixon is trending in the right direction to play in Week 13 after he missed Sunday's victory, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
The Bengals ride into their pivotal meeting with the Chiefs carrying a three-game winning streak. It's the first matchup between the two AFC heavyweights since last season's AFC Championship Game, which saw Cincinnati advance to the Super Bowl.
