Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett cleared concussion protocol ahead of Sunday's contest against the Miami Dolphins, the team announced Friday.
Tight end Pat Freiermuth and cornerback Levi Wallace also were cleared from concussion protocol.
Pickett exited Sunday's win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with Mitchell Trubisky stepping in and leading Pittsburgh to just its second victory of the season.
But head coach Mike Tomlin said the rookie will remain the club's starter if healthy. Trubisky was benched for Pickett during Pittsburgh's Week 4 loss to the New York Jets.
The 20th overall pick has thrown for 514 yards and one touchdown against four interceptions this season. He's added 41 yards and two scores on the ground.
