Brady will start Buccaneers' preseason finale vs. Colts
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady will start Saturday's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, head coach Todd Bowles announced Thursday, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times.
Brady returned to the team earlier this week after missing 11 days of training camp for personal reasons.
Bowles added that all healthy players will get playing time against the Colts, signaling that the Bucs will treat their preseason finale as a true dress rehearsal for the regular season.
Brady, 45, is entering his third year with the team after going back on his decision to retire at the beginning of the offseason.
He won a Super Bowl in his first season in Tampa Bay. The seven-time champ followed that up by leading all quarterbacks in 2021 with a career-high 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns.
