The New York Giants are releasing tight end Kyle Rudolph after one season, as initially reported by Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
Rudolph, 32, posted a message on Twitter thanking the club and its fan base.

New York signed the veteran pass-catcher to a two-year, $12-million contract as a free agent last March.
Rudolph hauled in just 26 receptions for 257 yards and a touchdown in his lone campaign with the Giants.
The Ohio native joined New York after spending 10 years with the Minnesota Vikings. Rudolph racked up 4,488 receiving yards and 48 scores with the Vikings.
Rudolph intends to continue his playing career, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Giants reportedly save $5 million in salary-cap space by cutting Rudolph but eat $2.4 million in dead money.
New York could be in the market for a starting tight end this offseason with Evan Engram set to become an unrestricted free agent.
