Tampa Bay Buccaneers right tackle Tristan Wirfs suffered a sprained ankle in Sunday's 31-15 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles, head coach Bruce Arians announced postgame, according to ESPN's Jenna Laine.

Wirfs headed to the locker room on the team's opening drive before making a brief return late in the second quarter. However, Wirfs soon limped off the field before the end of the half and was ruled out shortly after.

The 2020 first-round pick has been an iron man for the Buccaneers this season. Wirfs didn't miss an offensive snap all season prior to Sunday's contest. He earned his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro nods during the 2021 campaign.

Wirfs was part of a Buccaneers offensive line that allowed just 23 sacks this season. Tampa Bay entered the postseason with a 13-4 record looking to defend its Super Bowl championship.
