The New York Giants signed linebacker Jaylon Smith to their practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced Friday.
Smith started his career with the Cowboys but was released in October after he struggled to replicate the Pro Bowl play from early in his tenure.
Smith briefly signed with the Green Bay Packers but was cut again after minimal playing time.
The 26-year-old has racked up 579 total tackles, nine sacks, two interceptions, and six fumble recoveries in 70 career appearances.
