Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey rolled his ankle during Sunday's 33-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins, head coach Matt Rhule confirmed, according to Steve Reed of The Associated Press.
McCaffrey was spotted in a walking boot following the game, according to South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Omar Kelly.
The star back finished the Week 12 contest with just 10 carries for 35 yards and was targeted only once.
The Panthers have a bye next week, which could aid McCaffrey. The 25-year-old has been limited to just 10 games over the last two seasons due to various injuries. A hamstring ailment kept him sidelined for Weeks 4 through 8 this year.
