Carolina Panthers quarterback Sam Darnold suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 19-13 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.

Darnold left the contest after taking a big hit on a rushing attempt in the red zone. Veteran P.J. Walker replaced Darnold with Carolina leading 12-10.

The Panthers extended their lead moments later on a 6-yard touchdown run by rookie Chuba Hubbard.

Darnold completed 13 of 29 passes for 129 yards with no touchdowns or picks. The 24-year-old's injury came just one game after he was benched against the New York Giants.

Carolina snapped its four-game losing streak by handing Atlanta its first loss in three games.
