Former NFL coach Jeff Fisher is in the mix for USC's head coaching vacancy, a source told Brett McMurphy of The Action Network.
A USC alum, Fisher last coached in the NFL in 2016 with the Los Angeles Rams, who fired him during the campaign.
Fisher owns a wealth of coaching experience, spending 22 years with the likes of the Rams and Tennessee Titans. His career accolades include a Super Bowl appearance and career winning percentage of .512 (173-165-1 record).
The Trojans are looking for their next head coach after firing Clay Helton earlier this season. Helton spent six-plus seasons with USC, posting a 46-24 record. His tenure ended after a 42-28 home defeat to Stanford.
Donte Williams is serving as the club's interim head coach.
