Super Bowl odds update: Ravens trending up after massive Week 6 win

After four wild finishes in their first five games, the Ravens entered Week 6 as a short but uninspiring option in the Super Bowl market. Now, after a dominant win against the upstart Chargers, they're among the favorites to win it all.

Baltimore's title odds shortened from 12-1 to 10-1 after Sunday's 34-6 win over Los Angeles (20-1), which had been one of the biggest movers in the title market in recent weeks. The Ravens halted that momentum with ease, jumping out to a 17-0 lead and never letting up in the fifth-most lopsided result so far this season.

It hasn't always been pretty for this group, which entered the year with question marks after injuries to the backfield and secondary. Sure enough, three of its first four wins came by a combined nine points, and the fourth was against a reeling Broncos team with an injured starting quarterback.

But the Ravens looked like a team with few weaknesses - if any - in Week 6. They rushed for 187 yards with three backs recording at least eight carries and a score, and they held MVP candidate Justin Herbert to 195 passing yards and one touchdown while baiting him into just his fourth interception in his last nine games.

Lamar Jackson (218 total yards, one touchdown) saw his own MVP stock take a slight hit thanks to a pair of interceptions, but he relied on a surging Ravens defense that has now held two opponents to six points or fewer this season. The only other team to do that is the Bills, whom Baltimore leapfrogged for sole possession of first in the AFC entering Monday night.

The Ravens' win moved them into the top five on the Super Bowl oddsboard for the first time this year, highlighting a mostly quiet week of adjustments. The Rams (8-1) and Cardinals (11-1) inched closer to the NFC-leading Buccaneers (6-1) with sizable Sunday wins, while the Browns (18-1) and Chargers (20-1) lost steam in the title race after blowout losses. The Patriots (100-1) and Panthers (200-1) also saw their title odds balloon after overtime defeats at home.
