Raiders' Jacobs out vs. Steelers, Ngakoue will play

Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs won't play in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to toe and ankle injuries, head coach Jon Gruden announced Friday, per Tashan Reed of The Athletic.

However, pass-rusher Yannick Ngakoue will suit up despite dealing with a hamstring ailment.

Gruden suggested Peyton Barber could replace Jacobs instead of Kenyan Drake, who primarily produced as a pass-catcher in his Raiders debut in Week 1.

"We're excited about the opportunity for Peyton Barber. We really like Peyton Barber," said Gruden when asked about Drake's opportunity with Jacobs sidelined, according to Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

Las Vegas was concerned earlier in the week that Ngakoue, one of its other major free-agent additions, was dealing with a long-term issue.

Jacobs had two touchdowns and 34 rushing yards in the Raiders' overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens. Ngakoue, meanwhile, had five total tackles and one quarterback hit.
