The Green Bay Packers will keep All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari on the physically unable to perform list, sidelining him for at least the first six games of the season, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Green Bay placed Bakhtiari - who's recovering from a torn ACL suffered late last season - on the PUP list to begin training camp. The 29-year-old said in July he was unsure if he'd be ready for the Packers' regular-season opener.

The 2013 fourth-round pick has protected Aaron Rodgers' blind side since entering the league. He's started 118 games over his career, earning three Pro Bowl selections and two first-team All-Pro nods.

Elgton Jenkins figures to shift from left guard to left tackle with Bakhtiari sidelined. A second-round pick in 2019, Jenkins has started 30 games over the past two seasons and was a Pro Bowler in 2020.

The Packers' offensive line was one of the best in the NFL last season, allowing just 21 sacks over 16 games.
