The Washington Football Team placed defensive tackle Daron Payne on the COVID-19 list, the club announced Sunday.

Payne, a 2018 first-round pick, becomes the seventh player added to the team's reserve group.

Washington added offensive linemen Brandon Scherff and David Sharpe to the COVID-19 list Saturday, while Curtis Samuel, Matt Ioannidis, and Chris Miller landed on the list Thursday. Cornelius Lucas was placed on the reserve group earlier in the week.

Washington was just one of two teams to have a vaccination rate under 70%, Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post reported Saturday.

Head coach Ron Rivera has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with his team's efforts, stating Tuesday that he's "beyond frustrated" with Washington's vaccination rate.
