Patrick Peterson can't hide his excitement to play his former team.

The 30-year-old cornerback spent the first 10 years of his career with the Arizona Cardinals. He hit free agency this offseason and signed a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings.

The Vikings visit the Cardinals in Week 2 this season.

"The one I circled is definitely Week 2, that's not even close. That's not even close," Peterson said on the "All Things Covered" podcast, according to Jeremy Cluff of the Arizona Republic.

During his decade in the desert, Peterson was a three-time All-Pro, made eight Pro Bowls, and named to the Hall of Fame's All-2010s team.

After signing with Minnesota, Peterson expressed his surprise that he couldn't continue his career in Arizona. Now, he's eager to show his old club that he still has it.

"I'm going to be juiced up going into that week, or whatever, but as far as once the game gets going, I'm going to be cool, calm, and collected because that's when I'm at my best," he said. "I can't wait to show up and do what I do in they face. I can't wait for that, to do what I do."
