Report: Quinnen Williams likely out 8-10 weeks with broken foot bone
New York Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams broke a small bone in his foot and will likely have surgery that will sideline him for 8-to-10 weeks, sources told NFL Networks's Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo.
Williams sustained the injury during on-field work at the Jets' team facility last week, Garafolo adds.
The 23-year-old will reportedly miss OTAs and minicamp, but he's apparently expected to be fully healthy by training camp and ready for the regular season.
Williams is entering his third NFL campaign and figures to be a focal point of the Jets' defense in 2021. He tallied 55 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and seven sacks last season.
The Alabama product will team up with offseason additions Sheldon Rankins, Carl Lawson, and Vinny Curry on New York's defensive line to help improve a defense that allowed 28.6 points per game in 2020.
